Old threads get me thinking now and again...
I haven't driven a sedan to any great extent (my wife zealously guards HERs), but my reading of the history of the convertibles was that they were almost completely different frames/chassis' and that's why they were built at a different plant in Finland. The idea was that the engineers KNEW they couldn't make a stiff ride with the standard sedan formula and so designed a 'different' car with a much stiffer/stronger frame and body. What I'm reading in the thread is that it still isn't even close to a sedan feel... is that right?
