The panels are extremely easy to repair and repaint with professional results. No need to even take them off the car. Sand any rough spots down and fill any damaged areas with flexible body filler (or even just regular bondo). Then sand any panel to be painted down with 400 grit paper to improve paint adhesion. Clean all surfaces with rubbing alcohol and protect adjacent body panels with masking tape and newspaper. Paint with SEM quartz metallic (no need for primer despite recommendations from the supplier). Two or three light coats should do it. This is not the exact factory colour but it is extremely close.
It is probably best to do the whole SPG kit including the bumpers at one time. This doesn't take much longer and ensures a perfect colour match. It also means easy future repairs in case of small parking lot dings. At the very least you will need to do the damaged panel and any adjacent panels so that the colour mismatch will not be too noticeable.
