i had the joy of finding both outer c.v. popped when the car was steered round any given corner, i found some ware on the tripods before the install, but thought nothing of it, because it was in my mind (these are brand new rebuilt axles and the ware musta passed spec.s)
the shaft looked new along with the boot.
i felt the passenger-side outer c.v. pop in my hand before i installed the axle, but then again my mind was fogged with, (hmhmhmhmhmm new rebuilt axles) i figured when the outer c.v. popped in my hand it was only (tight) being its new. thought along the lines of, it needs a little road travel.

now well after the install (steering wheel pops to no end) 3 months after the install the passenger tri-pod spins within the companion shaft when a left turn is taken. its not so much as i litteraly got the shaft, its the idea of tearing everything apart and rebuilding it all.
doing the job is a piece of cake, its just i have no time for it. the time i had to do this was 5 months ago.
wheres my (i love genie bottle) ill have her snap her fingers and it will be done.
the only up-side to this is., the passenger-side wheel bearing needs to be changed, and i guess might as well replace the axles while im at it.
heck just for the fun of it seeing i need to replace the drivers-side axle might as well put a wheel bearing in there also.

sheez
can`t say anything because they -Were- rebuilt with a nice new outer c.v. boot, and some new grease.
but seeing how (David c) asked..
if i were in your shoes, and believe me with this subject i wish i was, (before i went with rebuilt) i`d look at the rebuilt axles with the idea, of (those could be the whacked out axles that came off of vvack0matics car)
and heck yes im thinking of going the rout of ((new rebuilt axles again))
from where i sit, i cant do any worse.
just know this junk coming off my car can end up at your door step.
with a new boot and new grease, with a tag on it (new rebuilt axle)

and why would i give them back to the company and just not junk them,
(i suppose i want my 100 bux core) its nothing against the old maid who ends up with them.

there was an old saaber i was talking to and he said some wise words,
it was only seven words but this is what it was, (there just trying to keep the doors open), ok so it was eight.
but dang come on,............
redoing axles takes some time.

i guess i should stop ranting and just do it done a second time.
you know im thinking im getting to know this car so well i should start making house calls.
