quick-steel is great, it can withstand very high heat and is sand able.
its a wonderful product. the only draw back i found it has is despite how good the surface is cleaned before application, quicksteel can not make a good tight bond to it, it will look as if it did and harden up, but will crack at the surface to quick steel,
the good side to the stuff is its super strong as in a hole, it will not have a crack within itself when drys, and it is sand able,
the idea you have to fill the hole with this stuff is just awful.
only thing that can be done if not to replace the entire ... umm... what ever it was thats messed up. is to make the hole nice and round and get a big bolt and thread it in the hole, but not before drowning the bolt in loctight.
may the saab force be with you, just dont go the rout of quicksteel.
(just a note, the only thing quicksteel would might work on would be the exhaust manifold, and this would be only for a hairline fracture.)
