Sorry to hear about your car. I store my Saabs as well for the winter so I know what you are going through. To begin, start by checking the oil level on the dipstick. As long as it is in a safe range, you may start it without any problem to the engine. The possibility of the leak could be a few things. It might be where the oil was drained last November on the cross members of the car drianing on to the floor, it might be a leaky filter that is too loose, or worst case scenario, the cold weather this winter may have caused a rear main seal to crack and leak oil.
Regarding the battery, even if you start it from time to time in the winter, unless you have a trickle charger, the battery will go dead no matter how new it is. Go to an auto supply store and buy a small charger which you can use in the winter for storage and use now for charging.
Good Luck !!
