This board has been great at keeping my bone-stock 1990 SPG, 145,000 miles running well. So thanks.

My current issue is boost pressure.

Until a few weeks ago it would boost normally to the yellow-red line on the stock gauge and keep it there from about 2500 to about 3500 revs.

Recently the boost has been erratic. It seems that occasionally it will boost normally, but usually it will only boost to 2/3-3/4 into the yellow. Sometimes it will boost close to the red-yellow line, but quickly the boost tapers down despite the revs still around 3,000. Even when the boost only goes 2/3-3/4 into the yellow, the APC often kicks in and brings down the boost. Other times the turbo seems to spool up slower (much slower) than usual, and tapers down quickly to 1/2 yellow even though the revs are approaching 3000. The poor boost seems to occur more frequeltly after driving for a few minutes, and the first 2-3 miles on the highway have normal to near normal boost. It is not stuck at base boost (checked by hitting the brakes during WOT & poor boost. The boost cut back to base then).

I replaced every vacuum line I could find, but now I am beginning to think this is more than a vacuum line problem. I also checked the hooter valve by blowing into it, and it seemed to hold pressure.

Any ideas on where to check next would be appreciated.
I searched and could not find a sure fire soulution.
