It is the actual tailight assembly. It's where the wiring from the car plugs into the tailight circuit board. If you have to remove the tail light from your car you must unplug the circuit board from the electrical wiring itself. The wiring is hooked through a 10 pin connector. It takes a little umph to get it out.

Bentley does not refer to it directly although it is very important. The various diagrams are on

371-26
371-30
371-57
371-106

The only time the numbers of the pins are referred to are on 371-57 (Direction Indicators and Hazard Warning Lights.) The cabriolets are unique as there are all the wires running to the same harness.

Here's the problem:

I have been able to restore brake lights on both sides, and the parking/running lights on the passenger side. During reassembly the BLUE wire came lose and fell out. Some overzealous soul manhandled the car at various places and this was one. I cannot get the park/running light to operate on the driver side.

What would be a godsend would be the actual sequence for the wiring. In other words, pin 1 is the color white, etc... Some of the pins are blank, others just act as a junction for the next light.

There is one thing I don't get. The blue wire acts as a parking/running light. It powers up when it should. However, the passenger works just fine without it, and actually is controlled by the green wire.

Any help would be appreciated. Unfortunately, the cabriolet is unique even from the 900s.

Thanks,
Lee
