Next, disconnect the linkage from the motor, run the motor one full cycle and switch the car off (trust me, if the motor tries to fire when your fingers are attached to it, it will hardly bog down with you in extreme pain) and reattach the linkage (I think it's a splined metal plate under a hold-down nut) with them both in the right positions. The trick here is to get the linkage park position (all the way to the passenger's side) tied to the motor when the motor is in its park position too.
If the linkage has seen better days, you can get pieces or the whole thing off of a junkyard car. If you're nice, you may only want to replace the single arm that goes from the motor to the passenger's side wiper. Don't make me come over there! Our eventual aim is so the wipers on your SPG don't park halfway through the cycle, like most new cars seem to be doing. Instead of mechanical limitations, we've got switches, sensors and computers running the wipers, so it must be better!
... Right?
