a car ego can only go so far
but in my case, seems i have no choice
i need a car that can handle the demand i have of driving,
the business im in requires me to travel all over the united states
and i had almost every car to put it to the task
if its not a mussel gas guzzler its a weak four banger
gas guzzler will empty my gas budget and still require heavy maintenance and the weak four bangers are made out of plastic.
the 900 i found was nothing more than getting prep-ed for the grave. however when i saw it, it was like seeing an old relative for the first time in 20 years. (i don't know why it was like that it just happened)
sure the car took a full rebuild, shocks, ball joints, wheel-bearings, muffler, axles, amm, aic, both lower control arms, distributor, valve cover gasket, both inner c-companion shafts, vaclines,
radiator, lower radiator hose, brake master cylindre, lower clutch hydraulic line, power steering pump, steering rack, idler wheel, gear box cover gasket,
shifter seals, passenger-side wheel hub, dash, front motor mount, shifter arm, oxy sensor, rear brake calipers, rewiring of the injector harness,
door actuators, sunroof guides, sun roof switch, brake switch, fan motor connections, and i think that might have summed it up.
but seeing how it slowed down on breaking parts i can finally get a lead on it and paint the car, and nothing wrong with putting a whale tail, nice rims, tint you know spice it up to the drivers liking.
seeing im driving it all over the U.S. might as well smile as i walk up to it after paying for gas.
and thats what keeps me in the 900, hwy is 35 to the gallon
and has the power of a jet.
handling is of the car is out of this world,
but in no way its it a childish car thing or ego,
i just needed a car that fit my circumstances and just so happened to be a 88 saab spg to step up to the plate, and over the years i grow to give saab much respect for just what this one 88 spg is capable of doing.
a car with 291,000 miles and the way its going ill rack up another 200,000 before who knows what.
call it a curse or blessed almost seems the same from where i sit.
