the seal would sit inside the flange and the driver shaft slides with in
the pic below shows what the seal looks like (5.90) eeuroparts
Part Code: 8731804
if you see the oil coming out of the drive shaft this is what you need.
if you plan on pulling the eight bolts to get to this seal, just remember to order
Part Code: 8728156
Part Name: Inner Driver Base O-ring
its 1.29 its a small seal that sits around the flange, then get
Part Code: 37394
Part Name: Gasket Sealant
it will run 13.90 to give the bolts a coat
just to get to the driver`s shaft seal the flange with the driver needs to be pulled, a c-clip with in the flange needs to be taken off to release the driver, then the seal can be pulled out of the flange.
the hole processes should take 3 to 4 hours, well that's me. im a little slow and i would pull the axle so i could use the axle hole to get to the flange bolts.
might want to think about getting a new differential carrier barring also.
nothing wrong with your old one but having a new one sure cant hurt.
Part Code: 8704306
Part Name: Differential bearing
12.90
rebuild the hole unit for under 50 buxs.
nice
