Don't think they're all the same -- difference as I remember it is that 83 had the single alt/water pump belts and 84 switched to the double alt/water pump belts. This in turn leads to a different crank pulley at about 1/2 way through the 83 model year or so.

Only reason I know this is I once had an 83 turbo built in 12/82 (one of the first I guess with APC), and got the wrong crank pulley. AND didn't realize it until the pulley was on, engine was out of the car when I put the pulley on, got engine back in the car, everything hooked up, and I had a problemmo. I then tried to put double pulleys on the alt and water pump, thinking I was so smart. However that somehow f-ed up my power steering pulley alignment. I think I then changed everything back and it was fine. It sucked. Then years later, my power steering pump died and I couldn't find the 83 one anywhere....
