I just acquired a 1990 Euro spec Aero (albeit automatic) from Japan.
The car sat for nearly 2 months on its way from auction to warehouse I picked it from.
Once I started it ABS and (!) warning lights went off as they should but the first dab on the brakes and they lit up again, stayed on for a couple of seconds and off they went again. Touched the brakes one more time on for 2-3 sec again, off.
Pressed 10 times brakes still work the same perfect firm feel and proper assistance but lights still come up with every (even slightest) application of the pedal.
Anyway, I had to drive the car home and we traveled all 20 km of city traffic without any problem Mind you, there was barely any boost but otherwise it shifted really well.
By the end of the journey I still had that dreaded lightshow with every dab of brakes. And they still worked fine...
What I noticed, however, is that if I press several times real quick, without any interruption and not fully releasing the brake pedal, the lights would come up only once, in the beginning.
Any ideas will be welcome. I've read Aris ABS epistle with great attention but still have no idea what it might be. Can it be just the switch under the pedal?
Thank you in advane for your input.
PS. Also any communication with fellow OG owners in Calgary will be verry welcome! As well as the information about good indys in the area.
