The mystery gets deeper. I replaced the spark plug wires and ignition coil, but this hasn't completely fixed the problem...
Now, when the car has loss of power, it's far less violent and doesn't last for as long, feel more like a hiccup. Also, before I fixed the problem, it had gotten to the point where any boost would cause this to happen. Now, it starts around 3/4ths into the yellow. (Still starts at 1/2 yellow sometimes, but definitely an improvement).
One other factor may be that the weather has cooled down by ~20 degrees since the problem started (I live in CO). I can't really say whether this is a factor because it's still happening, just not as severe when it does...
Any ideas... the fuel pump perhaps? I'm tempted to just throw up my hands and go to the indie at this point. No regrets on replacing the spark plug wires/ignition coil though, the car is definitely running better in general.
Thanks!
