i've got an 87 SPG that is running absolutely terrible on acceleration - i should mention engine idle is perfect, just acceleration is brutal. this am i tested the APC solenoid (and 4 junkyard spares i have) and with key on, air flow is from C to W on car unit and all spares (i subbed them in to check). With key off, all units had the same air flow, none of them allowed air from C to R, which is what Townsend's site says is correct. Could his site be incorrect?
by the way they all clicked when key turned on, so are being energized.
I havent tried pinching off the W line and driving the car yet.
are these things repairable? i shot carb cleaner into one of them, repeatedly turned ignition on and off to work the solenoid but to no avail.
i dont see them listed on eeuroparts anywhere either.
Thanks in advance,
Wayne in Calgary
