No rain, but water on rear floorboards? Posted by NCSaab [Email] ![]() ![]() |
Drove my '92 convertible on my 25 mile commute to work this morning and discovered wet rear floor mats and carpet when I got out of the car. It's definitely water and not coolant.
It's been crazy hot here in NC so I'll admit to using the A/C more than open air the last few days. We haven't had rain in over a week and water restrictions due to drought mean the car hasn't had a bath in several weeks.
The A/C seem to be draining just fine -- big water puddle on the ground. Is it possible that at highway speed the condensor isn't draining well, but is OK in stop and go and at rest?
Did a search on the BB and found the attached link regarding drainage under the rear seat. Anyone have success with posters proposed fix?
Any other ideas? All suggestions welcome!
