with the boost override switch still hooked up under dash, its going to be hard to push any more boost, just because it is made to bleed off excess boost to protect the motor.
it would activate at just before the needle hits red or right at the start of red.
taking this boost override switch out and override its functions will allow the motor to boost well into the red before the fuel override switch activates, this switch is also under dash and it is made to cut the fuel pump when the motor is under an intense boost, it will activate when the motor is at mid red boost or just after.
taking this switch out under dash and overriding its hook up, or screwing its flat head bolt 360 degrees, will allow the motor to boost untill the head-gasket blowes or the knock sensor shuts it down.
i would not advise overriding the knock sensor, it will only shut the boost down if its detects something is a miss.
(bad fuel, low oil causing the motor to ping, anything that could potentially do tragic harm to the motor.
the only reason the head-gasket would blow is if the boost was perfect all the way up to destruction. (pushing around 25-40 psi of boost)
and lets face it, everything has got to be working in sink to achieve this.
to over ride the knock sensor would only cause the head gasket or motor to be destroyed on a less the perfect boost.
so for starters might want to check if the boost override switch is still hooked up under dash.
have fun
the shutter may be a motor mount
