Thanks much for the quick reply guys. It was the the pin that I had no idea was there. Easy to remove and a squirt of compressed air and the piston was free. I don't think there is a machined screw involved in the mixture...1988 SPG.
Now for my latest boondoggle. Now I need to find a schematic that shows the proper orientation of the new seals. The parts kind of flew apart when the piston exited it's lair. I have the Bently and Haynes manuals...neither shows the orientation. Anybody know of source for this? The first piston had the seals oriented in the same direction, the second piston seems to fit together with the seals in opposite directions...help. This should have been a pretty easy job.
Thanks again folks.
Carl
