88 900 TC

What I thought was a bad cat turned into changing the entire exhaust from the exhaust manifold back. Got a great deal from one of the site sponsors.

While I was in there, I decided to change the gasket between the turbo and the exhaust manifold.

An exercise in stuck bolts 101. I was successful and managed to change the gasket.

As I've never seen the insides of a Saab turbo, it was interesting to see all the power that comes from that tiny wheel.

Also, I was lucky that all the parts unbolted relatively easy. No broken studs or knuckles. Usually with my luck, the exhaust on a car this old only comes apart with a cutting torch.

Back together will be with generous amounts of anti-seize.

If anyone's doing this job, let me know and I can give pointers, but only for about a week till I forget.
