same thing last year, it fired but wouldn't run. happened to have another saab there at the time, copied wire layout from that, and presto! it is the only item that i have found so far that is wrong in that book, and strang that it is so fundamental. the car will not run, at all, if you follow the book.
and, if the rotor is pointing down to trannie with flywheel at tdc, then the offset doodad on the end of distributer has been forced into camshaft 180 degrees off, and the car will not run.never tried to do this, by the way, don't know how possible it is!
