In retrospect, it's not all that bad a job. I was nervous as hell along the way, thinking of all the ways that I might make a mistake that would be catastrophic. The closest I came was on reattachment of intake manifold. I had forgotten about the bar that supports it from beneath so that when I began torquing the bolts down I just couldn't get the lower face to square up to the head. Fortunately I caught it before wrenching too hard, positioned it correctly and moved on. The digital camera and 12 pages of notes made along the way also proved incredibly helpful.

I hope that I don't have to do the job again any time soon but I'm sure that it would take about half the time.
