Fixed several fan-damaged radiators after crashes.
But I think part of the secret may be the glue I used, a 3M industrial product, DP-420, that has great bonding strength. You can maybe find it at an industrial distributor near you or certainly over the web. Need to buy the gun to apply it (well, you could just use two long screws sticking out of a block of wood) and you might have to buy more than just one pack of glue, say 12, which would make it kind of foolish.
Anyway, drain the radiator down to below the leaking area, and clean all around the hole well, with solvent and then detergent and water. Bend fins back to reveal the hole - - radiators have long flat tubes running from end tank to end tank, then lots of metal fins zigzagging back and forth between the tubes to wick away the heat.

Get it all dry, then apply the epoxy, pushing down on it to get some to gush inside the leaking tube a little so it will key and bond better.

Don't worry about getting excess glue onto the fins blocking the air flow. A small patch area won't hurt radiator efficiency at all.
