I think the coking in the stock metal tube occurs due to relatively high heat acting on a thin film of oil left behind when the engine shuts off. A small amount of oil sitting in that heated pipe for an extended period of time will harden reasonably readily. It's not like the oil is literally baking while the engine is running...
I suspect the rubber hose will absorb less heat in the first place, making coking that much more unlikely. And, because there are simple to remove AN fittings on both ends, it's super easy to remove the hose, inspect it, and clean it or replace if necessary. Removing the factory metal line is an enormous PITA no matter how you cut it!
My major concern with this setup was the T3 flange itself - bolting aluminum onto a hot turbo is a risky proposition, and I've heard of these fittings cracking from stress. I ended up using the one I did as it was the beefiest of those I looked at, and it seemed it would be the most durable.
