Actually Valkyrie is Lucas-based C900 and I used to play with Bosch long ago but... Have a thought: it starts ok (right?) so this means the system has correct default values. And once it tries to operate with 'extra' data/sensors it fails (starts stalling).
I think you'd check your throttle position sensor/switch. Disconnect it and try cold (I take it you've got a cold start stall issue) start the next morning. Anything changed? No? Ok, keep it disconnected but try to simulate closed throttle (put in a sort of jumper into the connector; refer to manual to see pins used). Still no luck? ok... What happens when we've done those 20 secs? Right, engine becomes a bit warmer. So we need to check hoses (I've read you've got couple of them replaced - so double check hoses) and we need to check T-sensor (the same) and... check signal ground!
Btw wire-inspection is pretty useful on time to time basis. I had experienced with an issue when a electric pump didn't run although there were 12V in its connector. Know what? There was only a single intact lead in the '+' wire that powered that very pump. So I had 12V for my V-meter but there was no current to run the pump.

Zig

P.S.
Pls see above my experience on Bosch injection. Sorry but I can describe you the route in general manner only not detailed. Besides it's always damn nice to have smth fixed by yourself :)
