RS,
Sorry I don't have a set of axles laying around at the moment to measure but I wanted to suggest that, if your axle is otherwise OK, you just replace the boot. Rebuilt axles seem to be sort of a crap shoot (search this board) and it's often amazing what simply cleaning and re-packing your original axle can do. If the slots in your inner driver are undamaged you'll have the choice of carefully driving the tripod bearing off with a punch and hammer so you can re-use it or spending a few extra bucks to put on a new tripod bearing after you slide the new boot on. You'll still save money and avoid the risk of getting a lame re-built axle. You may even want to clean and re-pack the CV (outer joint) and fit a new boot there too. With a little guidance it's a piece of cake. Check with site sponsors for prices on boots and tripods. Cheers
