Hi,
Remember me? Cliff with the '89 black SPG. I just passed smog today. I didn't want to say anything yesterday before the test and jinx something.
You need to prepare your car before taking it in to smog. Here is my ritual a bit extensive, but I passed. New NGK BPC7ES spark plugs, new bouigcord ignition wires, bosch distributor cap and rotor. Changed out the SPG9 rrfpr to a new bosch 2.5 bar. Oil, filter, new cat, heat shield, intermediate pipe, stock oem turbo muffler. And last, but not least a can of Lubromoly fuel system cleaner. 91 Chevron octane and ran the car for 50 miles of the freeway before pulling in to the test only station.
I'll post my numbers tonight after I pick up the car.
YES!! Life goes on for another two years!
Cliff
