I recently purchase a 89 - 900 SPG . Need assistance in fixing up for road . On start up and when moving there is a rough thumping sound from the right front end. I figure its the transaxle gear not making right contact? Not that I know much about it.. I have it up on blocks and front wheels off and when runs there is no noise . but was when I backed it into shop. the thumping is there when starting in this position.
Also there is a noise from clutch; on other cars I would say the throw out bearing. The transmission was rebuilt about 71,000 miles ago. in 02. I do not beleive they changed the clutch plate.
I would appreciate any help on these subjects. and where can I find a Service/ Repair manual for it. As it has problems with the window motors and sunroof. like where would the motor for the sun roof be locasted
