Correct me someone if I am wrong but the 8V engine has solid lifters so you can rule that out. Try swapping out the plug with one from another cylinder or a spare. See if the problem persists on the #3. Perhaps the plug wire or the plug is bad. Does not sound like a blown head gasket as the plug is oily not clean as is often the case with h20 entering the cylinder. Is the coolant clean or murky? Any moisture or gunk on the dipstick as if there might be h2o in the oil? Run a compression test cold on all cylinders before you go further. You make it sound like the car has been sitting for some time?
