Once again: ignition switch turns on starter's solenoid which powers on starter motor.
If you're able to honk (and hear the same loud sound as usual) once turned the ignition on then your batt looks to be alive. If you don't even hear a click when moved the key in START position then smth's wrong either with ignition switch or with solenoid. If you hear 'click' going from somewhere under the hood once got your key in the start position but either after that car completely dies or clicking goes on but starter doesn't engage then it's either a dead (or discharged) batt or cable/connector issue.
Simple!
Zig
P.S.
You might neeed to inspect contacts or disassemble and lubricate smth (ign swtich or starter's solenoid) if your issue is related to cold temperatures and you're sure about your batt and cables.
