It will run thru end of key cylinder, onto tin cover at bottom of lock works and out of there since it's not a watertight cover, then down onto a plastic and paperpulp pad way below on center hump between seats, where it will eventually evaporate. A great amount, some might seep off to either side and down under carpets but this is less than gets in there off slushy boots in winter anyways.
Electric switch sits forward and uphill, and water won't run uphill towards or into it, especially since it's inverted, shaft faces down, electric contacts are way above at top of switch.
Check past postings on this topic via search function. Some very positive assertions about doing this by some with experience. The gunk that makes the trouble, sugar mainly, is only water soluble so water is a big help to getting it out of there.
