It has an outstanding look comparing to 'I failed to start this morning at 15F so I jumped my car' or 'there's a knock in the steering wheel when I do wheeling'.
Engine needs air, fuel to heat up the air and sparks to ignite a/f mixture just in the right time. Simple! I don't think your issue is about ignition. Ignition issues are usually accompanied by plops in the intake or exhaust. Neither it's about air induction. So we come to the fuel. In brief: once ECU starts receiving pulses from pickup sensor (whatever - Hall-type, inductive one or just from pin of ignition ECU module) it turns on f/pump relay on switching fuel pump on and the pump starts pumping gasoline to injectors. And according to readings from a set of sensors ECU starts pinging injectors.
If it's about "kind of throwing you into the steering wheel" then this means that when it happens engine is running on a single cylinder at it's best. Or more likely it stops. The suspect?
- pickup sensor (hall sensor in dizzy in your case)
- fuel pump relay
- fuel pump
- the ECU
- injectors (just to keep the company)
- AMM (air-mass meter)
- ignition switch and its relay (if installed)
- main relay
- overpressure switch (for turbored C900's)
- each connector, pin and wire between any above. Especially for AMM, injectors, ignition switch, RPM sensor and relays
Just say if tachometer bounces when it cuts out? if it does then check power suppliers (ign switch, relays and related stuff) and RPM sensor. Tach need is firm as?.. nevermind. If your tach doesn't bounce then this might be about ECU or injectors' or fuel pump wiring or overpressure switch.

P.S.
To be 100% honest I had a similar issue with my 1st car and it was about ignition not fuel. And to be 101% honest there were almost no plops in the exhaust. One of plug cables was installed very strained and the car run ok just for couple of minutes and after that engine stalled. The only way not to come to a stop in the middle of traffic was to fully open the throttle. I was testing and double checking everything twice and thrice until suddenly noticed the strained plug cable. Once I re-run it the issue gone. Go figure the physics! :)
