Thanks a lot for all the posts - I guess a bit of other info is in order. Have neglected the hell out of this car as I am really mad that the turbo has been A-OK and i have been way too lazy to fix it. Probably a result of moving to boston and only putting on about 4k a year and the car still gets from a to B- although i definitely missed the turbo.
- Anyway as far as vaccuum leaks I changed the vacuum lines and the hooter valve this summer in my last attempt to fix so I know those should be OK. Also have checked the connection at the APC ( this is from an spg i had that got totaled and I put it in the current car - 88 900 convt.)
Anyway so from the above posts I guess I need to check the solenoid electrical connections and also see if its stuck. Will also check the left most hose as i am assuming that will tell me if te solenoid is bad? Also to check the knock sensor as wel?. After that I am guessing it is the adjustment of the base boost which is shortening the rod right?
As far as gas she always gets at least 89 (well almost always 89 - once in a while the good stuff), and the hose I didn't put back on was definitely the furthest to the passenger side on the solenoid.
