but at the least you should change the oil/filter, flush the cooling system and install new antifreeze, flush the brake fluid/fill with new, and probably change the gearbox oil as well.
check the sunroof drains, there's one in each corner. the front ones drain just in front of the doors, you'll see a little extension of rubber hose sticking out. the rear ones drain out the back just in front of the rear wheels (if i remember correctly). you can run a length of wire coat hanger up them with a loop in the end to knock loose and debris. otherwise requires taking off the headliner to get to the sunroof pan to determine problem areas (search archives on that).
you can pick up generic removal tools at pep boys, kragen, etc. if the code isn't on the radio itself there are ways to find the code thru other sources (again, search archives if no one chimes in).
the shop manual is a good suggestion, and you may be able to find owner's manuals on the auction site or possibly junkyards, as some cars still seem to have their paperwork in them.
if you're in the east, or anywhere with salted winter roads and the car was used in winter, keep an eye out for rust. the front a arms at the frame is a known vunerable spot. bottoms of doors is another area to check.
congrats on your purchase and welcome to the family.
mark :-)
