The only way I tested if it works is to rip your column apart (takes four minutes and a torx screwdriver and a 7/8ths inch socket (dunno the metric), connect the new clock spring to the horn wire connecter, and then bridge the connector at the steering wheel side of the clock spring together and listen for the horn. This is how I determined that my clock spring did not work and that the replacement from the junker did work.
But I still did not buy it because they wanted 65 for it from a car that had 150K of turning the wheel.
