88' auto turbo Convertible. Running fine (as most of these stories begin), pulling away from a stoplight, steadily building boost. At about the point where the boost gauge is at 12o'clock, the engine shut off, like all power was shut off. No surging, no stumbling, no noise except for a barely audible pop/bop. No throttle response but I think the engine was still running up until I coasted to the side of the road. Cranked engine for hours, but the engine will not start. There is spark at the HT lead from the coil. I unplugged and wiggled every wire, but nothing. I can't hear the pump because of all the traffic, so I'll be towing it home tomorrow and I'd like to have a general idea where to start.
