You have to make the argument with economics. When US labor is again cheaper than the fuel and shipping costs of similar (sometimes comparable, often not) products, then it'll all change. I doubt people are going to start avoiding the stuff because of moral issues of other people working in poor conditions for next to nothing unseating native labor, at least not in this country right now.
You'll notice the newest Bosch voltage regulators are hecho en Mexico. Are they as good? How about the European aftermarket, a la ScanTech? Hit and miss. Well-made durable goods are difficult to justify, especially with more and more bean counters taking over or micromanaging jobs that should be held by other people.
I still prefer to overhaul existing driveshafts, even if they have to be removed from junkyard donors.
