I like driving with the top down and having the wind blow my hair about a bit. The saab engineers did a fine job with the aerodynamics on the windshield so that wind in the cabin is at a minimum. I'm also vain about my car. I'd rather have my hair a mess and not have some contraption on my car than look unruffled and have my car look other than as designed. I don't even like driving with the top down and the windows up--but that's just me.

I also have an older K-bodied LeBaron convertible. Basically Chrysler made them from choping the tops off of coupes. That car has terrible aerodynamics and the wind whips arount the top of the windshield blowing your hair and anything else in the car forward. I have thought about making a windscreen for that. I was going to use flexible copper tubing for a nice smooth look at the corners. I'm sure aluminum tubing could be bent as well. I was going to sew a black vinyl pocketed edge on to black vinyl screen and slip the tubing inside the edge piece. Never got farther than a theory.
