Damaged o-rings on oil tube kit

Actually, I had just installed the kit from eeuroparts.com yesterday in pursuit of fixing a valve clatter problem. (Also replaced the old rock-hard upper chain guide while I was in there.)

My concern was that although I tried to be careful in installation, a couple of the o-rings showed visible tearing when tapping the oil tube assembly into place. The valve tap continued after idling/fast idling the engine for a few minutes -- so I figured I'd try some new o-rings rather than order another oiler tube kit.

However, today after driving the car for about 30 minutes the valve clatter has disappeared completely, so for the moment there appears to be enough oil pressure to the cam followers despite the damaged o-rings. Will go looking for new o-rings if the valve noise returns...
