Purging old fluid past the seals sometimes pushes old gunk into the small return holes that allow the fluid to return into the master cylinder. It's time for a rebuild. When disassembling the master, remember to use lint free cloth and watch for the internal springs pop-in out. Use clean brake fluid when reassembling. Gloves, also! When I use to pump/hold/release the brake fluid to old fashion way, I'd push old rubber gunk into the seal area and cause the brake master to fail about 80% of the time. Wouldn't think power bleeding would cause this type of failure but, I guess it can. Sometimes you can just clean out the gunk but, with your mileage, I would just rebuild. Who knows, the failure could have been pending! Prime the clutch master before you bleed to allow air bubble's to be purged before installing onto bracket.
