it has been a good month and a half from the last time i drove my 88 spg,
(other forces at work prevented me from driving it)

but today i was honored to turn the start key in this monster.
all day i was periodically boosting when rush hour hit i started a little aggressive driving periodically boosting through traffic.
before i knew it i found myself at a red light sitting right in front of the line and what sat next to me in the other lane, a new 2008 v8 mustang jet black.
as i eyed this beast next to me i though it must have an auto for the driver looked to dainty to know how to shift as he pulled the front of his car even with mine, so before the light turned green i did a little prayer for my shifting to be fast as road runner and smooth as silk.

as the light turned green i dropped first it was millisecond when the boost grabbed and shot me to 23 mph no more then a millisecond later i grabbed 2ed with the turbo already boosting hard in first it had no time to dump the psi as the shift to 2ed was as if it never happened 35mph came in a blink of an eye, again the shift to 3rd was integrated in the millionth of a second to my surprise every gear opened up for me as i was throwing the shifter like the wind when i reached 3rd i had a moment before i hit 55mph so i looked to see where i stood to my surprise i was one car length head of this black beast,
even though the speed limit was 50mph i thought no way am i going to give up the lead so as the tac hit 55 i dropped 4th like a lion back on the mount, at 73mph i hammered 5th and yelled go T3 go, in a moment i was pushing 110mph and with a short peak over my shoulder the mustang held, still a little more than a car length.

as we caught the cars ahead of us i still held the lead on a four lane road, counting 1234 four would be the far left lane, this little blow out happened with me in the 3rd lane and the black beast in the 2ed lane.
as we came up on traffic at 115mph i dove to #4 with a quick glance behind me saw the black beast dive to the #1 lane.
still they did not want to give up.
however their doom was immanent as they were forced into the hart of grandma driving,
i dumped my speed with the help of eeuroparts cross-drilled rotors, which i will add preformed perfectly.
went from 115 to 60 in a quick solid manner.
after hitting 60 i looked in the rear view for the beast and last i saw they were still in lane #1 riding hard on the bumper of grandmas car which kind mad me feel bad, as in,.. what they want grandma to do race it up to 100,.. oh well, with a small number of 15 grandmas in front of them and lane 2 was jammed solid it was over.

so i got to give out thanks again.
i mean this is a 20year old car here and still is a fire-ball.
thanks has to go out to Swedish-dynamics for supplying me with the mods one mod i know in particular, the one that allowed me to boost so hard, their tweaked apc had played the biggest roll in this little run, and eeuroparts for holding the car together.
& i got to give thanks to the 900 bb,
with out this place im sure i would of dumped this 900 many many years ago.
i`d say this sure is a fun car!!!!!!!!!!!!
