normally i to would never drag off the line Posted by vvack0matic [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: V8 Killa!!, ZAAB ![]() |
& its only when the cars in 3rd and above (gears) that i start to lean into the boost,
but under the circumstances, of me being out of the car for so long and having the car run great all day, as in every boost before this episode
it ever did a premature wast-gate opening.
i knew sitting at the line she was operating in premium form.
dont get me wrong i have tried dragging off the line before, not to many times but a few out of the time i owned the car, but always missed a shift as in going from 1 to 2ed or 2ed to 3rd finding a mouth full of grinding gear from turbo shifting. (doing a shift in a millisec)
the trans. hasn't been touched in its gear ratio, if it has before i owned the car i would never know.
boosting in first built the psi as fast as i leaned into the gas, it just came down to if i could shift fast enough & not have the the t3 loose any psi build from the time that occurs between slow shifts where the unit needs to rebuild psi back to 21-24.
after this run i didn't do a post- trip inspection to see if i blew the car up or even listen to the trans (making noise) keeping the music cranked all the way to my destination prevented me,
so today im off to an auto zone to do a 6000 point inspection of everything.
(on a side note)
i have no worry about eeuro`s cross drilled rotors.
on the edge of the rotor it is stamped (made in Germany, and one rotor weighs as much as 2 generic aluminum rotors.
yup my rotors are as heavy as one of my wheels, straight steal.
