This was the first time I've done the troubleshooting and repair on CC myself, so I can't really say definitively the pump can't be bad. But the little I know leads me to believe the pump vaccuum switch (the thing w/ the red cap), and module aren't the weakest links in the system. Esp since your CC worked except over bumps. Certainly possible, but...
I easily checked and eliminated the hose, pump and the vacuum switch (thing w/ red cap) by sucking on hoses to check vacuum. I was already having trouble with the brake light switch/lights staying on, due to the play in the brake pedal, so (after I took out drivers seat, dropped the knee bolster and vent) it was easy to see how everything was related to the wiggle in the brake pedal, and compounded by dump valves (and brake light switch) that had simply worn to a point where they were over-adjusting themselves too easily. By comparison, the new replacement switches resisted adjustment much more. As in, I almost thought the new replacement switches lacked the same adjustable-ness of the originals.
Tested CC pretty extensively this morning on I-95 around Philly, which is only marginally better than roads around Baghdad, and everything seems to work great, over bumps, holes, pavement joints, etc.
