With all the reconfiguring I did with the upholstery shop, I got more legroom also, but thats partially because the seats lower and I have it angled back more with so I effectively sit further back too. I'm still cramped but better now, not drivable before, now it is ok. Basically I customized the seat just for me, other shorter plp who sit in it feel they are way too far and low for the steering wheels and peddles, but it suits me fine. I could never resell it like this, but I get away with it for me. If you have the money seriously look into aftermarket seats. Like I said, my friend did his convert that way and got basically the same effect w/out going through the hassle I did. He sits further down and back from stock! I'll go that way too eventually when finances permit. Plus the aftermarket seats look way better!
