CIS question--84 turbo dies on acceleration (long)

Hi,
I have another Saab crowding my driveway. I picked up a 1984 8V turbo for $150. The person who sold it to me said it had fuel delivery problems. Although he could be wrong. Anyway, I towed it home and it was only firing on three cylinders. Using my timing light I noticed that it was firing really inconsistent. I treated it to some new bougicords, NGKs, a new coil, distributor, rotor and ICU. Now it fires up and purrs!
Here's the problem now. It idles great in the driveway but as soon as I open the throttle it sputters and dies. If I gently open the throttle I can get the RPMs up. I've replaced a bunch of vacuum hoses, so I don't think its a vacuum leak. Also, when it gets hot it seems to run rougher. Could it be fuel delivery? I read somewhere that the plunger inside the CIS fuel distributer sometimes gets stuck.
I've had a bunch of Saabs but this is my first turbo, I can't wait to get it on the road!
Thanks for any help. This board always helps me take on more than I should--like $150 cars :)
