pretty sure abs system goes into 'dormant' mode- Posted by nicknick [Email] (#731) [Profile/Gallery] (more from nicknick) on Sat, 26 Apr 2008 16:44:10 In Reply to: Can I run a '93 without an ABS sensor?, kyle morley, Sat, 26 Apr 2008 14:10:31 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
that's my term, btw. as i understand it, any fault like a sensor fault will shut the abs down, and light will be on, but you will still have pressure. just turn the ignition on to check that the pump runs to pressurize the system. however, i would test drive the car with extreme caution, as if it does decide to kick back the pressure to the brakes, you will have no stopping at all.but you will know within 5 minutes if that is the case. i have a sensor i would be happy to donate to the 'happy saabin' cause. just let me know.
