Or this a visual, tactical, inspection where you remove the axle to inspect? I'm asking since the mechanic doesn't want to remove the axle as part of the lower A-arm replacement (he didn't know/think the tripod bearing would/could be damaged as part of the A-arm failure). He thinks just turning the axle on the lift would tell if the tripod was damaged.(?) I reminded him that since a lot of the stuff would already be removed in order to replace the A-arm, then it is better to look at it then, instead of finding out while test driving, and then having to take all that stuff apart again... What do you'all think?
