What he said... you *can* do it, but I have no idea why you'd want to. The head is heavy enough with an additional 60lbs in exhaust manifold & turbo... you don't need that headache. Even if you get it off & on again, you'll probably end up having to loosen the bolts between the manifold and turbo to get the oil return line in. AND, I think it's absolutely silly to go to all the work doing a head gasket and not replacing the exhaust manifold studs while you're there. You do not want one of them breaking some evening, and getting the nub out of the head is absolute tortune. IMHO, take it apart and put it back together the right way...
