The thought of a 3 foot breaker bar or pipe cheater on a 1/4" drive ratchet brings a smile.

1/2" drive ratchet or 1/2" breaker bar would probably be the ticket.

Leverage, or plain old brute force, is the answer here, not penetrating oils that won't possibly work their way in. The 6 point socket for solid grip without rounding off the bolt head, and not cracking. A naturally long handled leverage tool like a breaker bar will give better control than a sloppy pipe cheater on a shorter ratchet. Only enough extensions on the socket to just get wrench clear of obstructions, you don't want the socket cocking off at an angle and force going to waste.

Oh and car solidly supported on a jack or jackstand.

Oh, yeah, will a box end wrench fit on the bolt? Sometimes I've done that and kicked the wrench to get things started. Then switch back to your socket and ratchet.
