You don't need to disconnect the battery for this work, just leave the ignition off. The distributor cap has a notch in it that corresponds with the distributor base. It will only fit one way. Your center rotor "might" be glued on the shaft and you'll have to break it off by squeezing with pliers. Just give it a good pull and see! The new rotor won't have to be re-glue and it should just slide onto the shaft. If your not sure about the wire to cap location, just remove your cap with wire still on, hold the new cap next to the old one with the notch in the same posistion and start pulling and relocating each wire one at a time. NO FEAR with this one. Don't forget to add one bottle of "Chevron Thecron" about every 4-6 months to keep the fuel injectors running correctly. Glad you got the car and want to learn how to work on it. Keep writing!!
