I seem to be moving to older cars. I think it's an illness. My wife, Son, and Daughter all drive 900s too (a '94 turbo convert, a '90 S, and another '90 S).
My car is a '93 900 Turbo Commemorative Edition, but in the last couple of years I have been moving to older Saabs. CRAZY??? I have a '79 900 GLE 5-door (my favorite car ever) that I drive a little as it needs a little work, but my daily driver in the last year has been a '72 96 V4. My most recent Saab(and my last for a long time) is a '79 99 GL(2-door sedan-no hatch) that I acquired for free. It has been sitting for 20 years and I am trying to get it back on the road. I am even thinking about selling my '93 Turbo CE so I can have additional funds to get my '70's fleet road worthy. I really want to drive my '70's Saabs and would be perfectly happy driving these cars for the next 10 years. Am I crazy? They are all solid, rust-free cars, and I figure if I get the mechanics where they should be, these great old should provide years of happy driving. Is anyone else doing this sort of thing? Sometimes I really do think I am losin' it, but it sure is a fun ride :-)
