We had the Landjet up on the rack tracking down some rattles in the exhaust, and found the source of the noises....a couple of lock washers, a new exhaust U bolt -- made a few changes that would hopefully last longer than the last go round....
Started up, and it was all quiet on the rattle front, and drove away from the shop about 4 blocks and it started to miss. Could hardly keep it running and started smelling fuel. Got it home and found black smoke along with a crappy idle.
Then the phone rings and my daughter's Subaru has a check engine light illuminated -- yes, the light came on in the Saab too. I told her to put in some gas, tighten the gas cap properly and see it the CEL goes out.
Besides the O2 sensor completely failing, what else causes it to go into pigging on fuel? Was it because oil fell to $122? Was it the Subaru CEL? Anyone else have a sunroof go out or something related to enriching my AFR?
